ARLENIS SIERRA SUL PODIO AL GIRO DELL'EMILIA
 L'ottimo finale di stagione di Arlenis Sierra si è arricchito oggi di un altro risultato di prestigio: la portacolori della A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team si è infatti piazzata in seconda posizione nell'ottava edizione del Giro dell'Emilia Donne. Dopo una prima parte tutto sommato tranquilla nei primi 85 chilometri in pianura, come da tradizione, la corsa si è decisa sulla durissima ascesa finale verso il Santuario di San Luca, una salita di 2 chilometri con una pendenza media del 10.8% ed una massima del 18% in corrispondenza della celebre curva delle orfanelle: qui sono entrate in scena le migliori scalatrici in gara ed i distacchi tra le favorite si sono fatti più ampi, ma la campionessa cubana ha resistito benissimo venendo preceduta solamente dalla spagnola Mavi García e replicando così il risultato ottenuto qui nel 2018.
Per Arlenis Sierra quello di oggi è settimo podio stagionale in corse del calendario UCI, e si tratta di un risultato perfettamente in linea con quelle che erano le aspettative della vigilia. Nella top10 di questo Giro dell'Emilia è entrata anche la vicentina Katia Ragusa, più staccata in termini di secondi ma comunque nona al traguardo dopo che nelle cinque precedenti partecipazioni aveva ottenuto al massimo un 18° posto. La prestazione sulla salita di San Luca sia di Sierra che di Ragusa fa comunque ben sperare in vista della Tre Valli Varesine in programma martedì 5 ottobre su un percorso che dovrebbe essere più adatto alle atlete della A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team.

ARLENIS SIERRA ON THE PODIUM AT THE GIRO DELL'EMILIA
 T he excellent final part of the season of Arlenis Sierra was enriched today with another prestigious result: the rider of the A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team was in fact second in the eighth edition of the Giro dell'Emilia Donne. After a quiet first part in the first 85 kilometers on the plain, as usual, the race was decided on the very hard final ascent towards the Sanctuary of San Luca, a 2 kilometer climb with an average gradient of 10.8% and a maximum of 18% in correspondence with the famous "curva delle orfanelle": here the best climbers in the field took the scene and the gaps between the favorites became wider, but the Cuban champion resisted very well being preceded only by the Spanish Mavi García and thus replicating the result obtained here in 2018.
For Arlenis Sierra the one of today is the seventh podium of the season in races of the UCI calendar, and it is a result perfectly in line with what were the expectations of the eve. Italian Katia Ragusa also entered the top 10 of this Giro dell'Emilia, more behind in terms of seconds of gap but still ninth at the finish line after she had obtained a maximum of 18th place in her five previous participations. The performance on the San Luca climb of both Sierra and Ragusa still bodes well in view of the Tre Valli Varesine scheduled for Tuesday 5 October on a route that should be more suitable for the athletes of the A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team.
