YARELI SALAZAR VINCE IL CAMPIONATO NAZIONALE
 Dopo aver fatto incetta di titoli e medaglie nei Campionati Messicani su pista, adesso Yareli Salazar può vantare un nuovo prestigiosissimo trionfo nella sua bacheca personale: la 24enne messicana di Culiacán ha infatti vinto la prova su strada dei Campionati Nazionali conquistando il primo titolo di prestigio anche in questa disciplina. La gara si è disputata ad Aguascalientes su un percorso di 131.7 chilometri e caratterizzato da un totale di circa 1700 metri di dislivello: fin dalle prime battute nel gruppo ci sono stati numerosi attacchi e tentativi di fuga con le atlete della A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team sempre molto attente nelle prime posizioni per cercare la situazione tattica migliore pur non potendo disporre di una superiorità numerica.
Alla fine lo scenario ideale è uscito proprio da una di queste fughe, con Yareli Salazar che è riuscita ad avvantaggiarsi tutta sola: a quel punto per la ciclista della A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team è iniziata una lunga ed esaltante cavalcata solitaria che l'ha portata a chiudere in trionfo con addirittura 3'05" di vantaggio su un gruppo di una quindicina di unità. Un grande applauso va fatto anche ad Andrea Ramírez e Ariadna Gutiérrez che da dietro hanno protetto l'azione della compagna di squadra e si sono lanciare anche nella volata conclusiva ottenendo la sesta e settima posizione rispettivamente. Con questa vittoria, per Yareli Salazar si spalancano anche le porte di un doppio impegno ai Giochi Olimpicidi Tokyo: oltre all'Omnium su pista per cui è qualificata da tempo, sarà lei ad occupare il posto a disposizione per il Messico anche per la gara su strada.
«La corsa è stata molto difficile, si andava sempre su e giù, non proprio ideale per le mie caratteristiche. Onestamente mai avrei pensato di poter vincere qui, e infatti quando sono andata in fuga l'ho fatto in una discesa velocissima, ho toccato i 98 km/h. In fondo alla discesa ho visto che il gruppo era spezzato e ho pensato "ora o mai più", mancavano 40 chilometri all'arrivo e quindi ho cominciato a spingere a tutta; solo a 5 chilometri dall'arrivo ho capito che ormai la vittoria era mia. Voglio ringraziare le mie compagne di squadra Andrea e Ariadna che hanno fatto un lavoro spettacolare, questa vittoria è anche merito loro, ma un grande grazie va anche a tutta la squadra A.R. Monex Liv, alla mia famiglia, al mio fidanzato Oscar, all'Instituto Sinaloense del Deporte e a tutti coloro che mi fanno sempre sentire il loro grande supporto».

YARELI SALAZAR WINS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
 After collecting titles and medals in the Mexican Championships on the track, now Yareli Salazar can boast a new and very prestigious triumph in his personal showcase: the 24-year-old Mexican from Culiacán has in fact won the road race of the National Championships, conquering the first prestigious title also in this discipline. The race was held in Aguascalientes on a route of 131.7 kilometers and characterized by a total of about 1700 meters of climbing: from the very first stages in the group there were numerous attacks and breakaways attempts with the riders of the A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team always very careful in the first positions to look for the best tactical situation despite not being able to have a numerical superiority.
In the end, the ideal scenario came out of one of these breakaways, in which Yareli Salazar managed to take advantage all by herself: at that point for the cyclist of A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team has begun a long and exciting solo ride that led her to finish in triumph with a massive 3'05" advantage over a group of about fifteen riders. A big applause also goes to Andrea Ramírez and Ariadna Gutiérrezwho protected the action of their teammate from behind and also contested the final sprint obtaining the sixth and seventh position respectively. This victory also opens the doors of a double commitment at the Olympic Games in Tokyo from Yareli Salazar: in addition to the Omnium on the track for which she was already qualified since last year, she will also be the only representative of Mexico for the one spot available for the road race.
«The race was very difficult, it always went up and down, not exactly ideal for my characteristics. Honestly, I never thought I could win here, and in fact when I ran away I did it in a very fast descent, I hit 98 km/h. At the bottom of the descent I saw that the group was broken and I thought "now or never", there were 40 kilometers to go and so I started to push hard; only with 5 kilometers to go I did realize that the victory was going to be mine. I want to thank my teammates Andrea and Ariadna who did a spectacular job, this victory was impossible without them, but a big thank you also goes to the whole A.R. Monex Liv, to my family, to my boyfriend Oscar, to the Instituto Sinaloense del Deporte and all those who always let me feel their great support».
