EIDER MERINO OTTAVA AD ARRATE
 Le gare in Spagna continuano a portare buoni risultati alla A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team: dopo la splendida vittoria di Arlenis Sierra a Pamplona, oggi Eider Merino ha ottenuto un buon ottavo posto al GP Ciudad de Eibar, altra prova di categoria 1.1 del calendario UCI. La corsa prevedeva un tracciato di 117.2 chilometri con arrivo ad Arrate, un traguardo in salita classico di tante corse maschili nei Paesi Baschi ma praticamente una novità per quanto riguarda le donne: l'ascesa finale era caratterizzata da 4.5 chilometri con una pendenza media dell'8.8%, ed un picco massimo del 13%. L'arrivo esaltava quindi le caratteristiche delle scalatrici come Eider Merino che, da ottima basca, sognava da tempo di testarsi in gara su queste strade: le motivazioni erano quindi alte e la scorsa settimana aveva anche provato il percorso in allenamento per prepararsi al meglio.
La corsa si è disputata interamente sotto una pioggia battente che ha reso il tutto molto più complicato, ma il gruppo con tutte le atlete più forti in gara si è presentato compatto ai piedi della salita decisiva e lì si è scatenata la battaglia. Dietro alle migliori tre cicliste si è formato un drappello di otto atlete che è arrivato giocarsi in volata la quarta posizione: tra loro c'era anche l'ottima Eider Merino che ha tagliato il traguardo in ottava posizione a 1'06" dalla vincitrice, la campionessa del mondo Van der Breggen. Per la A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team è arrivato anche un buon 12° posto a 1'39" per Arlenis Sierra, bene anche la messicana Ariadna Gutiérrez che è arrivata 26esima a 2'59".

EIDER MERINO EIGHT IN ARRATE
 The races in Spain continue to bring good results to the A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team: after the fantastic victory of Arlenis Sierra in Pamplona, ​​today Eider Merino obtained a good eighth place at the GP Ciudad de Eibar, another 1.1 category event of the UCI calendar. The race had a 117.2 kilometer route with arrival in Arrate, a classic uphill finish of many men's races in the Basque Country but practically a first time for women: the final ascent was characterized by 4.5 kilometers with an average gradient of 8.8%, and a maximum peak of 13%. The arrival therefore enhanced the characteristics of climbers such as Eider Merino who, as an excellent Basque, had long dreamed of testing herself in the race on these roads: the motivations were therefore high and last week she also tried the route in training to prepare herself in the best way.
The race took place entirely under pouring rain which made everything much more complicated, but the group with all the strongest athletes in the race was compact at the foot of the decisive climb and there the big battle started. Behind the best three cyclists, a group of eight athletes was formed and then fought for the fourth position with a sprint: among them there was also the excellent Eider Merino who crossed the finish line in eighth place at 1'06" from the winner, the world champion Van der Breggen. For the A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team also arrived a good 12th place at 1'39" for Arlenis Sierra, and a nice performance by the Mexican Ariadna Gutiérrez who finished 26th at 2'59".
