Tim Declercq continues with Deceuninck – Quick-Step
A member of the Wolfpack since 2017, Tim Declercq has signed a new contract with the UCI World Team Ranking leader
03-Jul-2019: Now in his third season with Deceuninck – Quick-Step, “El Tractor” Tim Declercq has proved in these past years that he’s a world class domestique, one of the most hard-working guys in the peloton, capable of riding dozens and dozens of kilometers at the head of the bunch and chewing into the breakaway’s advantage, always impervious to the weather conditions or the difficulty of the parcours.

Be it Classics or Grand Tours, the 30-year-old Belgian from Leuven has always put his strength, experience and determination into the team’s service, helping it become one of the best and most successful in the world, and for this he has been rewarded with a new deal, running until the end of 2021.

“It was a dream come true when I signed with this great team three years ago, and I continue to live this dream every single day. Patrick and me found an agreement very quickly and I’m very happy to let everyone know that I’ll remain a member of the Wolfpack, where I feel at home. Being part of this amazing group of riders and staff makes me extremely proud and I hope that the next two years will bring more satisfactions and success”, said Tim, a winner of the best climber jersey earlier this season at the Volta ao Algarve.

Deceuninck – Quick-Step CEO Patrick Lefevere expressed his satisfaction at having secured the Belgian’s services for the next two seasons: “Since joining us three years ago, Tim has added power to our squad and proved he is a truly selfless team player, who gives absolutely everything for his leaders, a guy on whom you can always rely to get the job done. Considering this, but also the fact that we share the same values and mentality, it was logical to continue our solid partnership.”
