Terza tappa del Tour de Korea che sorride agli #OrangeBlue. Filippo Zaccanti conquista il podio di giornata e indossa la maglia gialla di leader della classifica generale. Due le frazioni al termine della corsa nelle quali il giovane scalatore italiano lotterà per difendere la leadership.
Filippo Zaccanti è la nuova maglia gialla del Tour de Korea. A due tappe dal termine il giovane scalatore italiano classe 1995 è il leader della classifica generale, grazie al secondo posto di giornata conquistato con un’azione d’attacco partita ai -50km e fortemente voluta dal team. Il suo vantaggio in classifica generale è ora di 41 secondi sul canadese Ben Perry del team Israel Cycling Academy e due sono le tappe che lo separano dal traguardo finale di Seoul.
LA TERZA TAPPA.
Terza tappa movimentata con un’azione di svariati atleti di fronte al gruppo sino a metà gara. L’inseguimento del gruppo principale nelle fasi salienti è condotto proprio dal team Italo-Giapponese non presente nella prima azione di giornata. Grazie ad un buon forcing di squadra il team è bravo a rientrare nel tratto più duro della gara dove una lunga salita ha contribuito a scremare il gruppo che torna compatto ai meno 46km dal traguardo, quando le carte si rimescolano e partono in contropiede i due attaccanti di giornata: il canadese della Israel Cycling Academy Ben Perry e l’atleta #OrangeBlue Filippo Zaccanti.
Ai meno 30km il vantaggio dei due attaccanti sale fino ai 2’30’’ e procedendo con cambi regolari sono bravi a gestirsi sino alla volata finale, dove il canadese Ben Perry è bravo a imporsi. Filippo Zaccanti secondo sulla linea del traguardo conquista la leadership della classifica generale quando al termine mancano solo due tappe.
Nella volata del gruppo per il terzo posto si segnala anche la top10 di Juan Josè Lobato. Nella top10 della nuova classifica generale presente inoltre il giapponese Hideto Nakane, miglior atleta nipponico ad oggi in classifica.
LA DICHIARAZIONE.
“Siamo stati bravi a lavorare e a fare selezione di squadra, in un tratto selettivo io e Ben Perry abbiamo attaccato e collaborato di comune accordo per arrivare al traguardo. Sapevo che lui era più veloce di me, ma per me era importante guadagnare più secondi possibili sul gruppo per la classifica generale. Ora lotteremo per conservare la maglia sapendo che delle due tappe restanti quella più impegnativa è proprio quella che ci attende domani.”

NIPPO VINI FANTINI FAIZANÈ: FILIPPO ZACCANTI, SECOND IN TODAY STAGE, IS THE NEW GENERAL RANKING LEADER.
Good third stage of the Tour de Korea for the NIPPO Vini Fantini Faizanè team. Filippo Zaccanti is second in today stage and he is the new general ranking leader. Two stage missing until the end of the race, in which the young Italian climber will try to preserve the leadership.

Close to the finish-line I knew that he was faster but for me it was also important to gain as much as on bunch thinking to the general ranking. Now we will try to keep the jersey, we know that among the two remaining stages the hardest one will be the one of tomorrow.”
