MILANO – TORINO: DANIEL FELIPE MARTINEZ NUOVAMENTE TRA I BIG

Ancora una grande prestazione in questo finale di stagione per Daniel Felipe Martinez che si è ritagliato uno spazio importante nel finale della Milano – Torino vinta dal suo connazionale Miguel Angel Lopez.

Il giovane colombiano ha saputo scollinare nel gruppetto dei big al primo passaggio a Superga provando anche un attacco a 1500 metri dall’arrivo con l’obiettivo di andare a riprendere i due corridori che si trovavano in testa alla corsa.

Lo sforzo è stato pagato all’ultimo km ma ciò non ha impedito a Martinez di essere di nuovo il migliore dei nostri con un 17° posto che non rispecchia l’ottima prova offerta.

Buoni segnali anche da Matteo Draperi che è stato attivo nei primi km di corsa ma che non è riuscito ad entrare nella fuga di giornata. Domani il Gran Piemonte chiuderà questo trittico di corse prima del Lombardia di sabato.

MILANO – TORINO: DANIEL FELIPE MARTINEZ AGAIN IN THE FRONT GROUP

A new great performance in this final of the season for Daniel Felipe Martinez who was one of the protagounists of the final kms of Milano – Torino won by his fellow Miguel Angel Lopez.

The young colombian rider was able to be together with today’s favourites in the first climb to Superga and then to try an attack with only 1,5 kms to go trying to bridge with the two riders who were head of the race.

The effort was huge and in the last km Martinez was in troubles but this didn’t avoid him to be the best of our riders with a 17th place.

Good ride also by Matteo Draperi that was very active in the first kms of the race but he couldn’t take part to the early breakaway. Tomorrow the Gran Piemonte will offer a chance to the sprinter before Il Lombardia of saturday.
