Santa Clarita, USA, 14 May 2015 - Individual Time Trial World Champion Lisa Brennauer is one of three Velocio-SRAM riders who tomorrow will race the Amgen Tour of California Empowered with SRAM Invitational Time Trial. After a forecast of snow and low temperatures the race had to be relocated from Big Bear Lake to a new course in Santa Clarita, California.
Brennauer, will be joined by fellow team mates Karol-Ann Canuel and Tayler Wiles to make up a 22 star studded rider start list. Canuel has come off a recent stage victory at Gracia Orlova Tour in Czech Republic in early May and was part of the team that helped Trixi Worrack win the overall at the Amgen Tour of California Empowered with SRAM on Sunday. Wiles, who will race next week at the USA National Championships, is hungry for success in tomorrow's time trial. The course has now been reduced to a short 10.6 kilometre out and back circuit where riders will be tested on a limited number of corners and a relatively flat profile.
The current ITT World Champion, Brennauer, said she is looking forward to racing the time trial. "First I have to say that I'm very pleased that the organisers were able to make plans for the time trial still to be raced. The new circuit is short but I have seen it today and I think it will be a fast and exciting finish," she added. "I'm once again looking forward to racing another time trial."
